Trip to Solihull

Thursday 12th March :

Visit of the black country museum. A reconstructed village where real buildings were rebuilt brick by brick to expose the life of mine workers. Many groups were also visiting this museum, so we had to wait outside some old shops. Students appreciated to take pictures with the employees and volunteers dressed in the traditional costume. The most appreciated part was certainly the old – toy shop with skipping rope, cup and ball games, and the “metal wheel”. 4pm : back to school. Last purchase in a little shopping center in solihull then diner with the teachers and the exchange partners at Jimmy Spices. We gave the students their prizes for the photo contest. 1: Alexandre and Charlie, 2 : Salomé and Zoé, 3 : Nathan and Brandon, 4 : Margot and Emily We all laughed and applauded the winners. Diner ended early because some students lived quite far away and the rest of the students wanted spend their last evening all together to say goodbye! We returned home to pack. Tomorrow we're leaving at 9am.
